A Disability Support Worker (DSW) plays a vital role in providing assistance and care to individuals with disabilities. Responsibilities include personal care, healthcare support, emotional and social support, skill development, community integration, and documentation. Qualifications typically include relevant certification, excellent communication skills, empathy, problem-solving abilities, and often basic first aid certification. The role is multifaceted and rewarding, aiming to enhance the quality of life and well-being of clients through personalised care and support.

  • Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support/Disability
  • 1 year experience (placements or volunteering)
  • Current National Disability Insurance Scheme NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current and valid South Australian Driver’s Licence
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current Manual Handling certificate
